In 247 BCE, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had 700,000 workers construct a tomb lined with thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors and horses, whose purpose was to help protect the emperor in his afterlife. It took them over 38 years to construct the burial place. To protect the secrecy and safety of its location, workers with knowledge of the site were buried alive in the tomb. • Qin was the strongest nation in the world at that time. Even if Alexander came they would had been slaughtered.

  • @psykchosonik

No way he had a chance

The warring states era is the most powerful era in Chinese history because all the kingdoms were competing each other for supermacy

Qin alone had 1 million troops under banner, if Alexander attacked China first he must conqured Qin, after that he would face six Eastern kingdoms which they would be united against him

  • Wasn't there booby traps?

  • i thought his tomb hasn't been excavated yet?! the pyramid tomb with the booby traps?

  • Alexander died before he really had a chance to conquer India the Mongols learned learned warfare from the Chinese also the Mongol Army took with them Chinese siege engineers. Alexander would not have had a chance against Chinese diverse knowledge of warfare and men. There is a chrome plated sword on display there.

  • Alex doesn't even know theres a China, he though beyond India was the sea that Aristotle talked about.

  • Alexander is about 100 years older then qin. It would be the warring states era of china. maybe he will get a chance

  • Alexander The Great was planing to conquer China but it's a good thing India crushed his army so he could'nt go further. He would have never made it to china.Even if he did Qin would have destroyed him.

  • that is amazing, i must visit the site one date in the near future...

  • dude this is older than jesus :P about 200 years and more
