More and more..I'm seeing that Robert Palmer music have HEAVILY watched BET back then and listened to black radio, considering he also took it upon himself to remake many R&B 80s jams during the 80s, aside from "borrow" from the concepts of black artists in the 80s.

great jam and Bernard Wright's like Charlie Singleton solo album was underrated in 1985 and both played with Cameo. New Wave R&B is the shit !!

Actually this was from 85, but I agree, 80-82 had some nice hits too!

That's good analysis right there. The early 80's had some classics but DO NOT get me started on the hits from 88-89, I can go on and on about that. Thanks for posting this classic video!
