The http://www.hideaway.co.uk SwingAway bed, also known as the CE-VNT is a simple to assemble DIY wall bed, designed to be fitted by any competent DIY enthusiast, requiring only a drill, screwdriver and fixings. The SwingAway's versatility allows it be used almost anywhere. It can be used on it's own, bed frame and mechanism only as shown, or can 'hideaway' behind a curtain, blind, or cabinet. Cabinets can be retro-fitted at a later stage to house the SwingAway wall bed.

The SwingAway bed has been designed for the DIY enthusiast and therefore does not require a skilled person to install the bed, which is easily done by attaching it to the floor and wall. Once the bed has been installed, it can be used immediately. The SwingAway system has a counterbalanced sprung mechanism so working with the weight of the mattress it has a safe, light and easy "finger touch" action when lifting up and down.

The SwingAway bed can be hidden away behind a curtain, blind or in a cabinet with bi-folding/sliding doors for optimum effect or left on view - whatever suits the room from elegant furniture to fun kids designs.

  • I want one

  • @aubreyd61 You're barking up the wrong tree dude. Posting an informal/implausible ad on youtube is not going to get you anywhere. Try to talk to a higher up at Home Depot.

  • Not too long ago, I patented an attractive, metal futon frame which can be assembled by one person in about two minutes without tools or small parts like nuts, bolts or screws.

I also designed it to be extremely cheap and easy to manufacture, so much so that it could probably be built on a small scale by a creative, energetic entrepreneur in a garage or basement. I'll sell the exclusive rights for $5k plus royalties. Click on my screen name to watch a short demo.

    Thanks
