Your right you should have the right to hunt but the problem is the wolf was there long before you or anyone else was there ,, the American Indian was there long before us and they seemed to manage. It will be a hard task and learning,, But as far as the Law goes they are and will be protected and it looks like we must just figure out a better way. Good luck with the hunting. I love hunting I prefer White Tail and small game. I don't trap nor do I hunt majestic animals. And I don't bait either.

Hey, I never said eliminate. The problem James, is that these things are prolific. I know if ranchers could have gotten rid of coyotes in the 60s and 70s, they would have. They are just to prolific. I think the wolf is the same way. I (and many of my neighbors here) enjoy hunting. Why should the wolves get to have all the elk? Because its nature? People live here now, and we feel we have a right to manage our own game species without outside interference.

Just for one day go out and imagin no wild life at all,,, tell me how would your world look??? But then again your world would be less miserable. right? Nothing that came easy is worth having. This is going to be a hard job and it can be done. Like my father said life is hard,,, Think Harder.

You said the KEY word ,, They manage the wolves,, They don't eliminate! AHHHH we are getting somewhere now. COEXIST as well. No job is good if it's simple! right?
-
Nothing to do with personel needs. If it did, there would be no wolves left in my area. In canada, they manage the wolf whereever wolves are found where man lives. They have to, its hard to have people and wolves coexist in the same area.

never said I was a cattle rancher, in fact, I am not. But I support agricultural because it provides JOBS for people in my state. In fact, it is the #1 industry in our state. The wolves bring nothing but misery.

remember cause and effect ,,, it was you cattle ranchers that helped destroy this animal and set the stage in the first place,,, now you must sew what you weep ed. This is life, it's sometimes called a pecking order. Stop arguing and be a critical thinker, you have a brain right? so balance it ,, don't destroy it.
-
Really,, ?? The white tail dear is doing fine here,, less any conditions like lyme disease or anything else,, But this is cause and effect you have to be able to manage wild life,,, not purely destroy the natural things in life because it suits your personal needs.
I almost bought that set up. Is it worth it?

Yes - i have now added a nikon coolpix as an alternative camera since it has an aftermarket adapter that supports a remote, mechanical shutter release - reduces camera shake for photos. I just returned from Yellowstone and have some more photos and wolf footage that I will be posting in the coming weeks...
