@TheTechnoToast Gate's team worked on basic on the Apple 1, not the Macintosh. Back when it was Micro-Software, not microsoft. 1977 vs 1984. By 1984, Gates was working on copying the Apple II with DOS.

Gates DID however get a license to develop software for the Mac, but then used that license to illegally copy it with windows.
