As Arsenio said shortly after the show opened, she sang her face off. I've heard/seen Patti live so many times, and saw her belt stuff through the roof....but never anything like this 5:27 minutes. Her vocals, the choir....the arrangement/medley (RIP Budd Ellison). And to be so humble...like at 2:47 where she gives the choir the praise, which she does with all her backups, musicians, etc. But I kid you not...there is something in those 11 seconds from 4:25 to 4:36 that are UNREAL!!!

yea, well....she had her big girl panties on that night. Ive seen ol girl perform live so many times, Ive lost count. And like anyone you see a thousand times, you can tell when they're well rested and when they're straining a little bit. Lets just say, that night, she was well rested. She had sung on his show a few times, before this, but she NAILED IT that night. One word: D-I-V-A.

Talk about a friggin' cresendo!! Hebrew Israelite women are nothing to mess with! The variety of phenomenal voices are apparent - especially in Patti Labelle. (Deut. 7:6) Yes, there is something special going on with Israelite women like Patti, Whitney, Minnie, Chaka, The Clark Sisters, Rachelle Ferrell and I could go on. God made us baad!
