For more than 100 years,Ingersoll Rand has inspired progress by driving innovation with revolutionary technology — creating new standards for how the world gets work done. We introduced our first oil-free compressor in 1912, and over the decades we've continued to develop rugged, reliable, industry-leading compressor technologies. If you have a critical oil-free application, you can't afford to take chances with a compressor system that delivers anything but the absolute highest quality air, reliability, and efficiency. Not a problem with an Ingersoll Rand Nirvana — the world's first TRUE variable-speed drive (VSD) oil-free compressor system.

  • These compressors have high efficiency inlet filets on the inlet to greatly reduce the contaminants at the inlet and it is usually recommended to have some type of downstream filtration dependent on how critical air quality is to your process/product.

  • You are correct; if the compressor is to ingest hydrocarbons then it will send them down stream. We recommend not parking a diesel truck next to the inlet of the compressor :-). Realistically, in an oil free allocation, you are sensitive to the chance of contamination of your process/product. Therefore, the placement of the compressor is important and you would want to choose it with this in mind. More on next comment..

  • As defined by ISO 8573.1 these compressors are certified by a third party to be 100% oil free, Under these standards the compressors are certified to introduce no hydrocarbons into the compressed air stream. More on next comment

  • question? How can this claim of 'class zero' be valid if the intake air will always contain a % volume of hydrocarbons?? Come on guys own up to the impact that intake conditions have on delivered 'zero class air'

  • We recently bought a 200hp Ingersoll Rand Nirvana Oil Free compressor to replace a 2 year old Atlas Crapco that shut us down on a weekly basis. The IR machine is increadible and their local sales and service people are great, plus our unit was built in the US

  • God, if only all compressor rooms were that clean.

  • I would say that out of all compressors, this is the most impressive that I have ever seen.

Thanks "J Grizzy" for the video.

    Completely impressive.
