why did they have a tournament at the mall?! to me that's so..... tacky(ghetto). I guess it must have been hot and they needed the airconditioning for the fighters but still... it just doesn't look professional.

i agree.. i think wekaf rules are so so...
Akea or dog brothers style are much better in my opinion..

WEKAF has been doing a great job in promoting the sport. but I am afraid that the traditional Filipino sport has been corroded with aspects that will eventually kill the essence of the sport. Eskrima is meant to be a defensive tool. NOt a unorganized hacking or whatever. MAybe the elders who secretly guarded the sport was correct when they covered the sport in veil of secrecy for centuries. the sport can no longer be recognized as practized before
