@Parroten it's more of a song to describe a guy falling for a woman from New York (i say this because this was on the "For a Girl From New York" EP) and how she's so eccentric and different from any girl he's met so it seems like he smothers her, but it's just his infatuation with her, I think it's funny because he nails woman from New York right on the dot, they get bored very easily which is shown by the line "gotta write using less emoticons" and they never mean what they say "you've got a do
