you cant beat a good xc comp its not the bike tho its the rider ( but a nice bike helps ).

hey quick question....im just getting started cross country mountain biking and the only event i did was the rosarito to ensenada bike ride (50 miles), and i did it in 5 hrs and 50 min (bad time i know lol), my question though is....how long are these mtb xc events cause ive been wanting to get into one! i have a gt avalanche 3.0

@310extreme Best thing to do is just ride as many events as you can.
Different events are all different times. XC race can be anything from 30 min to 2 hours.
Just get involved and you will love it.
