Whoa, this is great! I never knew anyone ever animated Annie in something pretty close to Harold Gray's actual drawing style----hatching and all! Sure, Annie selling hairspray is a stretch, but it's more than made up for by the goons she takes out while doing so.
I'm amazed this came from Hanna-Barbera duing the 60s, when most of their animation was starting to get "Scooby Doo" stiff. Just goes to show that commercials had much better production values than the shows they interrupted.
i acually think it matches perfectly, annie's trademark is her curly hair, i wish she would style her hair with any other of those styles than just curly.
Yeah, that's a great series. Too bad they don't reprint all the early Sunday strips though, but I read they're planning to collect them in a separate volume.

@Mesterius1 "I'm not sure it really fits Annie's personality to be selling hairspray"
I agree, I can see her selling Ovaltine but hairspray? not really.

Wow, that was cool! I wonder who was doing Annie's voice?

Oh? So you mean you'd prefer Annie to change/wary her hair style, rather than have curls all the time?

I didn't know Hanna-Barbera did a Little Orphan Annie animation circa 1969-1970!
