@YllusMC , first learn ancient Greek grammar before you try etymology. The last part of the word εύς is a case ending for nominative. That means it's not part of the word itself. The part that can be explained is the first part, the stem Ὀδυ. The root is is word that means pain. See for yourself:
ὀδύνα - pain
ὀδύνη - pain of body
ὀδυναρός - painful
ὀδυνηφόρος - causing pain
νωδυνία - relief from pain
ἀωδυνεῖν - to be free from pain
as you can see, Albanians are full of ignorance

@YllusMC And the Spartans were Dorians not Illyrians!! The Albanians came to the Balcons about 900 to 1000 years ago from Asia from a country called Albania, northwest of Armenia! The only true connection that you have with ANY race in the Azerbaijan!
SOOOOO keep on trying! Put an effort to it this time!!
-

Montenegrins=Dorians=Spartans
Old Dorian dialect Spártā
Montenegrins=Dinaric Race

@YllusMC Sparta=Σπαρτη!Albanians are not Illyrians they come from a place in Caucasus called Albania.
-
illyrians were mostly in the dalmatian region which was were majority of the krajina serbs lived at which is modern day croatia and The albanian language has nothing to do with old Illyrian. Illyrian is classified as Latin and albanian doesn't even look like that, infact it isn't even Indo-European rather a kavkaz-dialect.

@TheDardanianKnight That makes it up to 77,7% (!!!!!) of Greek population living in Greece before the end of the Neolithic period (before 9,000 BC!!!!!!)...in the same results 99,5 % (!!!) of nowadays Greek DNA proved that Greeks are direct descendants of the larger group of white Caucasian race..
-
@TheDardanianKnight Αccording to a world research of the Universities of Stanford and Pavia and other universities, 67% of DNA of Greeks has a paleolithic origin, 10,7% has a neolithic origin. The survey results were published in the American journal Human Genetics. Survey name "The origins, dispersal and diversification of haplogroups E and J, the Y chromosome: Implications for the Neolithic colonization of Europe and later migratory events in the Mediterranean".

@YllusMC As i told you you try to make the word to look like pelasgian's word....And you don't see that EYNOIA is tottaly the same in Greeks...with no change and not as in your language which is E Yjnoia....Same as XAIPE, same as TOY , same as BENE...those words are tottaly same in Greeks...And as you samw in video is not Eynoia..it was Ευνοια...anyone Greek can read them words as they are..with no change it as you do...
Spartans=Shpata(sword),
Sepat(ax),
shpet(fast),
shpeto(save, also Spetos is the name given to Achilles by epirots which means savior),
etc would make Spartans Albanians. yes?

@YllusMC, you prove that Albanians follow the same faulty logic. In the Albanian mind, if one can find an Albanian word that sounds like a place or a person in Greece, it must be Albanian. The fallacy of this premise would be clear if someone tried to prove that Penelope was a British lady simply because we can make up an etymology of Pen+Elope.
Since you like bringing words that sound the same, try first opening an ancient Greek dictionary and see how many words beging with Spar.

I think a better question would be why do greeks have a disproportionately high amount of Haplogroup J1 (Arab gene type) than any other country in Europe?
TheDardanianKnight 4 months ago
@TheDardanianKnight, why would it be a better question? the people of the mediterranean have been mixing for the last 4000 years. Albanians on the other hand are not part of the Mediterranean race, and they have more in common with Romanians.
