The song is ΜΑΓΝΗΤΗΣ (Magnet), by Vasilis Karras (ΒΑΣΙΛΗΣ ΚΑΡΡΑΣ).

The Dorians (Δωριεῖς) came from Northern Greece and conquered all the kingdoms of Mycenaea. The Dark Age that followed led to the creation of the Tyrant and City-States in 800-700BC until 300BC. Dorians such Spartans, Corinthians and Macedonians were great warriors and rulers.

Albanians are busy as usual claiming history that doesn't belong to them. Illyrians never wrote their history, so we don't know much about them, except what Greek and Roman historians wrote about them. still, Albanians will grasp at circumstantial evidence and coincidence to claim that the Dorians are Albanians.

1)They say that Dorians came from Illyria. In fact they come from the northern parts of Thessaly (Pindar, Pythian Odes i. 124, v. 96), what is today the border between Macedonia and Thessaly in Greece.

'The Lacedaemonians were the most eminent of the Dorian peoples and the Athenians of the Ionian. These two (...) were the most powerful of the Greek people (...)The Dorians have been constantly on the move (...)they settled in Pindos, and were known as Macedonians; they they migrated (...)to the Peloponnese, where they got their present name of Dorians'

(Herodotus, The Histories, Book I)

'they bordered on the Lapithae, but inhabited the mountain district of Hestiaeotis'

(Karl Otfried Müller , The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race, p 32)

'Thus it sung how Aegimius, the Doric Prince, whilst engaged in a difficult and dangerous war with the Lapithae, called to his assistance the wandering Hercules, and by the promise of a third part of the territory obtained his alliance, by which means the enemies were beaten, their prince slain, and the disputed territory conquered.'

(Karl Otfried Müller , The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race, p 34)

'The migration of the Dorians from the district of mount Olympus to Crete. It is indeed a wonderful migration, being from one end of the Grecian world to the other'

(Karl Otfried Müller , The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race, p 36)

'It seems probably that the Dorians, moved by slow degrees from Hestiaeotis to mount Oeta (...) and from thence gradually spread towards the coast over the land of the Dryopians.'

(Karl Otfried Müller , The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race, p 47)

2)Then Albanians try to prove that Doric is the same as modern Albanian, but in reality:

'Historical linguists point out that these borrowings from Ancient Greek were in the Doric dialect and penetrated into Illyrian through Corinthian commercial colonies in Corfu, along the Adriatic coast, and through border towns.'

(Edwin E. Jacques, the Albanians: an ethnic history from pre-historic times to the present, p 37)

'The western group can be divided into two subsidiary categories: Doric (Laconian, Messenian, Cretan, Cyrenaean, Heraclean, Rhodian, and those of the other Dodecanese, the dialect of Melos, Theran, Argolic, Corinthian, Megarian) and North West (...)'

(A History of Ancient Greek: from the beginnings to late antiquity, pp 390-391).

Linguists do not include Illyrian/Albanian in this.

3)The Albanians believe they ruled over Greece and influenced the Hellenes, but in reality:

(The Greco-Illyrian helmet)'Dated to the late sixth and fifth centuries, these have been found down the Adriatic coast as far as Albania and in the Ohrid region. Their origin has been sought in an early Peloponsesian, probably Corinthian, type recorded at Olympia and dated to 700-640 BC.'

(J.J. Wilkes, The Illyrians, p 108)

'Between the invasions of Macedonia, Illyrians are said to have launched an attack on Epirus in 384/5 BC'

(J.J. Wilkes, The Illyrians, p 118)

'The Illyrians set about the Molossians in battle and, it is claimed, killed more than 15,000, withdrawing only when a Spartan army came to the rescue of the Epirotes. The episode made plain the rise of Illyrian on the northwest fringes of the Greek world'

(J.J. Wilkes, The Illyrians, p 119)

  • Spartans=Shpata(sword),

    Sepat(ax),

    shpet(fast),

shpeto(save, also Spetos is the name given to Achilles by epirots which means savior),

etc would make Spartans Albanians. yes?

  • @YllusMC, you prove that Albanians follow the same faulty logic. In the Albanian mind, if one can find an Albanian word that sounds like a place or a person in Greece, it must be Albanian. The fallacy of this premise would be clear if someone tried to prove that Penelope was a British lady simply because we can make up an etymology of Pen+Elope.

Since you like bringing words that sound the same, try first opening an ancient Greek dictionary and see how many words beging with Spar.

  • I think a better question would be why do greeks have a disproportionately high amount of Haplogroup J1 (Arab gene type) than any other country in Europe?

  • @TheDardanianKnight, why would it be a better question? the people of the mediterranean have been mixing for the last 4000 years. Albanians on the other hand are not part of the Mediterranean race, and they have more in common with Romanians.

  • @YllusMC , first learn ancient Greek grammar before you try etymology. The last part of the word εύς is a case ending for nominative. That means it's not part of the word itself. The part that can be explained is the first part, the stem Ὀδυ. The root is is word that means pain. See for yourself:

    ὀδύνα - pain

    ὀδύνη - pain of body

    ὀδυναρός - painful

    ὀδυνηφόρος - causing pain

    νωδυνία - relief from pain

ἀωδυνεῖν - to be free from pain

as you can see, Albanians are full of ignorance

  • albania the first in this land Dorians Epirus Illyrians

    Montenegrins=Dinaric Race

  • @YllusMC Sparta=Σπαρτη!Albanians are not Illyrians they come from a place in Caucasus called Albania.

  • illyrians were mostly in the dalmatian region which was were majority of the krajina serbs lived at which is modern day croatia and The albanian language has nothing to do with old Illyrian. Illyrian is classified as Latin and albanian doesn't even look like that, infact it isn't even Indo-European rather a kavkaz-dialect.

  • @TheDardanianKnight That makes it up to 77,7% (!!!!!) of Greek population living in Greece before the end of the Neolithic period (before 9,000 BC!!!!!!)...in the same results 99,5 % (!!!) of nowadays Greek DNA proved that Greeks are direct descendants of the larger group of white Caucasian race..

  • @TheDardanianKnight Αccording to a world research of the Universities of Stanford and Pavia and other universities, 67% of DNA of Greeks has a paleolithic origin, 10,7% has a neolithic origin. The survey results were published in the American journal Human Genetics. Survey name "The origins, dispersal and diversification of haplogroups E and J, the Y chromosome: Implications for the Neolithic colonization of Europe and later migratory events in the Mediterranean".

  • @YllusMC As i told you you try to make the word to look like pelasgian's word....And you don't see that EYNOIA is tottaly the same in Greeks...with no change and not as in your language which is E Yjnoia....Same as XAIPE, same as TOY , same as BENE...those words are tottaly same in Greeks...And as you samw in video is not Eynoia..it was Ευνοια...anyone Greek can read them words as they are..with no change it as you do...
