NIGHTMARE at CANE BAY REEF CLUB St Croix USVI 2011

We are divers and bought land in St Croix USVI. We go there yearly and waited too long to book the place we like so it was full. Cane Bay Reef Club was inexpensive and beachfront. According to their website, it was exactly what we were looking for. When we arrived we were horrified. This place is foul...a disgusting dump. Their website is a farce...everything they claim they have, they don't or it is broken. The owner, Sita, is a despicable liar. She promised to credit our credit card for leaving early but never did. If you're planning to stay there, don't ruin your vacation. There are much better places in St. Croix. Please compare their website to my homemade video and read trip advisor. We didn't dare to try their restaurant and you shouldn't either. Contact me with any questions and I promise to tell you everything.

We paid $105.00 per night and that was their reduced resident rate since we bought land down there. We left early and went to the Divi. Cane Bay Reef Club was suppossed to refund our credit card but they never did, despite all the calls, emails and complaint to BBB. Don't know if they're still in business but we'll find out when we go back in May (staying at Villa Margarita). If they are, we'll be making an in-person request (loudly) for refund when their restaurant is open for dinner!

@silentplanet69 ..We love staying at Villa Margarita. It is perfect for us and affordable. Super nice couple run it, Adele and John. They go out of their way for you.

@silentplanet69 ..We dive with Cane Bay Dive shop and Anchor Dive Center. Both are very good. We use Cane Bay for shore dives, right on Cane Bay, easier to get cleaned up after dive. I think Anchor have nicer boat crew, took us to dive sites we requested and near Villa Margarita. We stayed at a cottage next to Cane Bay first time there. Very nice, super package deal w/ Cane Bay shop. But set back far from road, very dark at night.  My husband didn't care but I got kinda scared.
