The chicks are now about 2 weeks old and we can see them popping up over the top of the nest. Arthur didn't show in the whole hour of video!

Now that's interesting... One would think that the young ones would try to start their own families, that is assuming that they reach maturity in a year! Oh right, the young are probably infertile... I was reading up on ligers and tigons recently. This interspecies phenomenon is fascinating!

Yes, they fairly shot up in two weeks. I really hope that I catch them fledging.

Yes and in Ireland and they are no longer a sub-species, they used to be but now have full status on their own. :)

No Andy. Crows mate for life. I have been doing a bit of research and next year, if the chicks survive I fully expect them back supporting Mum and Dad in looking after the next batch of chicks!

Ooh we got a super close up view of them today. I just love how massive that nest is, and constructed so well :)
