I think the internet hate is very different for men and women of youtube. Specficially, women get a lot of sexual threats such as rape while men seem to get gay or other name calling. Both however do get the most hurtful threat of death.

However, love the video series! Makes me think about making vlogs :)

Physiologically females and males are hugely different. Men are better suited to hunting antelope and women for having children. That is just how biology works. Not distinguishing between gender would be horrible for the species. Men and women are fundamentally different. We think differently, act differently, perform differently, because we are different. To ignore that is impossible, literally impossible. It cannot ever be done. We are programmed to differentiate gender.

My question is how much of this "gender inequality" is self-imposed by women? I have literally never heard a male say that women need to look a certain way or whatnot. I have heard that the Media portrays this or that. To which I say, who the hell cares? Men in the media are ridiculous, everything in the media is ridiculous.

Why? I mean why is it necessary for males and females to be treated differently or have different expectations thrust upon them? That's the issue here and, evolutionarily speaking, all that'd do to us is maybe make us physically less distinguishable as far as body type. Like on a "thousands of years" scale, maybe the average for height, weight, and muscle distribution would be more even across both genders because gender rolls wouldn't have been so heavily enforced, historically speaking.
