21st Century Star-Spangled Banner (9/11)

I did this arrangement of the "Star-Spangled Banner" during the tragic events of 9/11. It was played within that week on ABC Radio. I saw it as a new look at where our country has been....and where it is going.

@Jerseysson27 Sorry it has taken so long to reply. I have actually updated this version, and also recently entered it in an anthem contest. If I win it will be recorded by the U.K. Adult and Children's Choir with the London Symphony Orchestra. In the meantime you are welcome to save this version as a favorite to put on your site. I agree with you quantumdave, but I just can't work with the Republicans. Not when they're willing to ransom the country I love to special interests and filibuster things such as extending benefits to Iraq war veterans, and in particular those who were crippled in their war. I'd love to unite with the Republicans, but they just aren't giving me any common ground any more. *Sigh* It's a sad state of affairs.

@Karthos1000 It was just wishful thinking on my part. I don't see how anything can get done in this climate. I don't understand how members of the same "intelligent" species can be so diametrically opposed to each other. The Democrats are willing to compromise, and that makes them pussies, I guess. I think Republicans will go against their won feelings just so they can disagree, and throw a wrench in the monkey-works!!! I am so sad these days about our country that needs to pull together.

10 years later...our nation still heals but with a stronger resolve

10 years later...the tears still flow, but our faith does not dissolve

10 years later...enlightment comes to our hearts, and our hopes are raised again

10 years later...although this tragedy hurt us all, we all are the same.

In peace and in war, we are still a family, creating change and more,

seeing new innovations from shore to shore.

May we continue to become better and better in the years ahead. May god bless our land
