On Thursday, September 27 at 5:00pm EDT, watch an endometrial ablation live from Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, SC on www.OR-Live.com This minimally invasive procedure is an effective alternative to hysterectomy for patients suffering from heavy or prolonged bleeding during their period.
Endometrial ablation is a preferred option when other medical treatments have failed or results are less than desirable. The procedure involves the removal of the lining of the uterus, which is the source of the bleeding. Tiffany L. Rhodes, MD will perform the procedure. Viewers are invited to e-mail questions to the OR during the one hour webcast.
@strausserministries Do you mean youre more likely to experience complications if your endometrium isnt that thick? Im 22 if that helps. Im going in for a consultation fairly soon cant wait!

This procedure is NOT final.
Many repetitions are necessary.
It also comes with serious adverse effects like bowel perforation, bladder perforation, etc nobody talks about!
A vaginal hysterectomy is faster, safer, easier and cheaper to perform.
Get informed!
Read the relative clinical statistics on the British Medical Journal.

@deaconredwhiteandblu There are some complications that doctors don't always seem to tell us about. One is called post ablation syndrome. There is a video or two about it on youtube. My doctor is trying to talk me into it...I have been bleeding for 4 months straight. But I'm not convinced that this is a good idea. It's such a new procedure, ya know, I mean we don't know what will happen when we get really old as a result of this procedure. I need more studies than what they have available
