http://www.driver-coaching.com - On a recent track evening where I let my 3 sons and no. 3 sons fiance drive my Elise I ended the day by giviong them a couple of pax laps each. This was the fiances laps which included, on lap 2, a major oversteer slide in the middle of the Craners. Doesn't look a big deal from the onboard but checjk out the telemetry. Car is an S2 Honda Elise, driver me, Malcolm Edeson, Chief Instructor with Lotus-on-Track and run www.driver-coaching.com.

  • that was not major oversteer

  • @nickster1318 - Ask anyone (who actually know) whether the rear letting go at 110mph down the Craner Curves is major or not. I'm not talking about exhibition stuff, drifting and such, any spotty herbert can do that. Oddly i've just come back from Donington where a guy had a similar moment in his Ford Fiesta Racecar ... the rear now looks like a smart car as he hit the barrier on the far side of the circuit backwards at 60mph. I make it look minor but believe me it could well have been very major

  • Video Response is a High Quality version of this. Found that my YouTube upload program was converting the video first which stopped YouTube doing it's HQ conversion.

  • Nah Lol Not very good video. No oversteer at all.

  • it doesnt look like much when i c it but i know when ur going that fast it must be very scary for that to happen, ur quik hands saved that car from drifting anymore than it should have cuz i am pretty sure if u let it slide more u would be sidways in the grass.

  • @MrMattdaniels - HI Matt, did I miss something? I cant see any reference to sideways in the video or text? I agree though that some "sideways" descibed moments are not even half sideways (45 deg) :)
