Flash and f-stop control exposure as long as ambient light is not bright enough to come into the mix. @ f8-using iso 400 in normal room light, you would get the same exposure using 1|320 or even as slow as 1\100.

Hmm by the way.. Was the car moving so fast You needed 1/320 of a second exposure?

Thank you for making this video. This is much better than trying to figure it out myself. I appreciate your taking time to do this, as it saved me a lot of time.

you can also use the SU800 commander unit form Nikon to trigger the SB600 I have a Nikon D60 and I use the SU800 commander unit to trigger my SB600

"Histograms a little closer" , that's a real good use of 4 words isn't it !!!!
So is "pretty good here".
I stand by what I said. This video is useless.
"Thanks for watching" should have said "Thanks for watching me waste 4 minutes of your life".
BTW, I know all the terms I originally asked about, learnt it elsewhere, shame I got fooled into thinking that a video entitled "CLS basics" should really have been called "CLS in a Video, lets waffle while I fiddle with some dials".

Dude, you're a fucking moron. You need EVERYTHING EXPLAINED TO YOU? The guy wanted to show how the CLS system worked not HOW TO BE A PHOTOGRAPHER. What a dumbass. You come on here trying to look intelligent by pointing out what you think are his mistakes and end up making yourself look like an idiot. Good going pal.
Why did you alter the flash compensation instead of opening up the aperature a bit?

@pjos111 I wanted to keep the aperture the same to maintain depth of field.

Why would you do tutorials when you obviously need more experience?

Because I can :) Seriously, I switched to Nikon earlier this year and wanted to show some simple things that I learned with the new camera system.
