Having rediscovered them after 27 years, I cannot listen to anyone elses music, my wife already calls Annie the "other woman".
If it gets much worse I shall have to get proffesional help!.
by the way, a DVD has just been released!

I ran sound for Annie 3 years ago and she still has the pipes. Was a gruelling load in and load out. The venue didnt have any elevators and we had to haul the sound and lighting gear up three flights of stairs, Trussing does not fit well in stair wells. She was great to work with and I would do it again in a second.

I found these guys in 1979 in San Fran then lost track of them until 2011 over 32 years later, thank you so much, I had these songs in my head all that time comparing them and falling short to others till now

It only goes to show that style and class have their place and don't fade.

Bloody Hell i'm 16 again

@lilmonstar98 Start with Prologue. My favorite song on that album is Kiev. Haunting, beautiful and moody.

I'd like to check out a couple of their albums, but there are so many ... which ones should I start with?

I am so happy I'm shaking... these guys are GREAT!!! love, love, love'em

I have heard Within Temptation. Not bad though they were not nearly the first to explore metal with high pitched female vocals. But Sharon is nothing like Annie at all. Anyway, listen to Minnie Riperton, especially the song "Adventures in Paradise" (absolutely incredible vocal coda!) and thank me later. A sadly underrated singer.

@Renaissancefan01 Hello friend! I was very much reminded or Renaissance when I first discovered Within Temptation. I think you'll see & hear similarities as well. Some songs for you to check out: All I Need, Our Solemn Hour, Angels, Ice Queen, Mother Earth, The Promise, The Truth Beneath the Rose, Hand of Sorrow, Jillian (I'd give my heart), & Stand My Ground. Let me know what you think! M.L.

What about that singer, on Island, Jane Relf? is it the same group?
