This arcade game was released for Amiga by Sega and Elite. Amiga version has only 10 stages whereas the arcade version has 18. Gameplay is from the Elite version, but I used intro screen from the Sega version at the beginning instead of the Elite version "HIGH SCORE/CREDITS" screen (same music in both screens). Short clip from the Elite version "HIGH SCORE/CREDITS" screen can be found at the end of this video. I played the Elite version, because ingame music in the Sega version was playing too slow.

The game loops to first stage after "THE END" message and I killed myself so I could include "NAME ENTRY" screen.

btw. SFX can't be turned off and that's not my voice at the beginning.

  • 8 Bit for each Channel (4 Channels) with Tricks it was 14 Bit (by combination of 2 Channels)

  • @REALSlutHunter I am merely wondering: Did the Amiga have a 16-bit or 24-bit or other audio processor?

  • @dimmddr1

It show's just, that it does not matter, 8 or 16 Bit the Amiga Sounded Great.

  • @REALSlutHunter How does that answer my question?

  • This looks like a cartoon! lol I like the Squilla character, but the music sucks. And the constant firing sound is bugging my ass! But at least it was nice and colourful

  • Does the Amiga have 16-bit audio?

  • Music is definately better than the primitive-sounding St version.

  • THE X68k MACHINE (AND GAMES) ARE BETTER BUT UNFORTUNETLY ARE JUST ARCADE COPIERS JUST A MACHINE WITH NO GREAT SCENE LIKE AMIGA.AMIGA COULD DO THE ARCADE PORT BUT WHEN A JAPANESE GAME PORTED FROM OTHER NO JAPANESE COMPANIE LIKE ELITE,MELBOURNE HOUSE,GAMETECH ETC THE RESULT IS SIMPLY BAD.ALSO THE SHARP68K WAS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE AMIGA.AMIGA HAS ITS OWN RANGE OF GAMES.THOUSANDS OFKICKASS GAMES (LIONHEART PROJEXTX ASSASSIN.....).

SHAME THAT SHARP X68k DIDNT HAD SCENE.A HUGE SCENE LIKE AMIGA

  • It's a shame the x68k was never released in the US, it's port was nearly arcade perfect AND had the new bosses from the SMS version...
