Somewhere in my Memory - Bette Midler

This is not exactly a Sims video in the sense that there are no animated Sims in it. It's more or less a picture gallery from the final part of a Sims trilogy I wrote and which can be found on this blog: http://clydesims.blogspot.com/

Perhaps if I set the story up a bit you'll get more out of the pictures. In the opening scene before the music starts, we the camera enters the house from the outside, goes through the living room and into the recreation room where the family is having a Christmas Eve get together. Everybody is there except the patriarch who met an untimely death earlier in the story. (You'll have to read the trilogy to find out why.)

One of the family members have arranged for a friend from work to play Santa at the gathering, in order to help the Patriarch's granddaughter understand why her grandfather can't be there for Christmas.

The previous Christmas he had taught the granddaughter his favorite Christmas song which is Somewhere in my Memory. In order to bring the song to life, I made this video and posted it in the story at the point where the little girl begins to sing the song her grandfather had taught her, so that the family can still feel his presence as if he is still there.

The version of the song that I used is by Bette Midler, and it was not only the favorite of one of the characters in the story, it is also one of mine. I hope you enjoy it.

@stphncrmr I got the cd for Home Alone 2 hopng that Bette Midler singing this song would be on the cd, but it is not. So how can I buy a cd with Bette Midler singing Somewhere in My Memory? Is it on some other Bette Midler album? This is frustrating trying to find a copy on cd of Bette Midler singing this song.

i'm a Moslem and i don't celebrate Christmas, but this is one of the best songs i've ever heard. great composition, great arrangement (both version, this bette midler version and john william's home alone choral version) always got me so emotional everytime i listen to it. i really feel the joy of Christmas, when all the family gather near and spend time together. this song warms my heart, all the time. bravo! thank you so much for uploading this video..
