I start by walking the concrete walkway on the Jetty, then over the protected beach (between the jetty and the dunes). I then hike the nature trail. Unfortunately there are no Pitch Pines here, only Japanese Black Pines. But it's a very nice trail, with lots of Sea-beach Heather, and cool twisted trees. At the end is some bonus video footage of the crashing waves off Iroquois Avenue in Beach Haven.
This is on Long Beach Island, in Ocean County, NJ.
The area where I hiked can be seen on this Bird's-eye View on Bing Maps: http://tinyurl.com/3nmh43a
