If there was a place where hell literary sat on Earth it would be the City of Los Angeles, Once full of hope and dreams now sucked into an apocalyptic wasteland of death and despair. Although Doyle died a hero and lived in another dimension, possible heaven he really was not sure but considering his cup never ran dry and he always had a bottle of Irish whiskey he seriously thought he was in heaven.

Sad thing about dimensions, they can bleed into one another. When Wolfram and Hart sent their army of demons against the rebellious team angel, it opened rifts and tears across every dimension. Everything exchanges in balance, one demon for another and as Doyle sat at the bar with Cordy, who finally learned to love his face. He felt suddenly off.

Pouring a shot of whiskey he noticed the bottle was empty, frowning he turned to Cordy but she was so far away. Something pulled at him, tugging at his navel. The wind came out of nowhere, a whooshing sound in his ears and instinctively he reached out, grabbing Cordy by the wrist and took her along for the ride.

The bar disappeared behind him and he felt something soft underneath his back. "Get off me-" Came the slurred voice of a Bum while Cordy, to her misfortune landed inside a dumpster.

The sounds of thundering hooves and long screams and all he could do was turn and look around. He wasn't in heaven, instead he was in Hell. At least he found Angel again, now all he had to do was find out who he was again.

Doyle pulled himself off the homeless man, resisting the urge to take his bottle and helped Cordy out of the dumpster. "If this is a second chance I gotta say it sucks princess. But hell if I'm gonna be back in this stinkin' hell hole there is nobody I'd rather be with then you."

With his back pressed against a crumbling brick wall, Doyle lightly, stroked Cordelia's hair while watching a comet slowly move across the sky. Angels war with the senior partners resulting in the bleeding of dimensions, which pulled both Doyle and Cordelia out of their own personal version of Heaven.

He could feel her body stir and his own felt cramped while her head rested on his leg. The comet appeared to become larger and Doyle knew it was not a comet. "Cordy get up, come on Cordy we got a get movin' now." Doyle shoved her off his knee, stood up and pulled her with him. A large blue fireball hurtled towards them and together they barley made it out of harms way.

Grabbing her hand together they ran through the safety of the back alley nearly avoiding that which came to kill them once more. Apart they had nothing and yet together they had everything. They possessed the qualities of champions; no longer would he call himself a lowly messenger. Now, with his second chance, he would not be afraid of who he was. He would embrace his demon heritage without embarrassment.

Courage, loyalty, and sacrifice were words he never used until the day he saved his own kind from the scourge. He died in honor, only to return to hell. "There's a war ragin' and I've got no clue why and I've got this feelin' its all Angels fault," a small smile crept along his face and with Cordelia at his side he marveled at the destruction, the chaos, and the unleashed fury.

"Its chaos, that's what it is," making a decision, heavy with conviction, he turned and looked around the alley. Walking over to an old pallet propped against the dumpster he kicked it, and picked up the fallen shards and pieces suitable for a stake or a weapon.

Turning around he tossed a few towards Cordelia, "Looks like were missin' out on the fun princess. So lets go find Angel and join in," taking a deep breath he turned to brave the city of Los Angeles, the city sucked into hell and began to start a new life.

After the fall.
