@HHGFHJGFHJGFJTYFJDGY I agree.
-
You're right Ben. He will be much missed. Wish I could say the same thing about you though.
-
@rha101 - Would you have preferred if Larry King, a man who, according to some sources, was born before the invention of cinema, had interviewed Stein?
"Ben Stein is here talking with us about the late John Hughes, director of such talkies as..."
But you're right...he'd certainly have done better than Wolf. In his defense, though, he was probably filling in on short notice while Larry was paying tribute to the fallen men of his regiment in the Union Army on Veteran's Day or something.
-
Yes, he will be much missed. Very much missed...
-
Wolf is not the man to conduct this interview. He doesn’t know Hughes’ work and seems very unprepared to be having this rememberance.
-
@RUSHisRIGHT09 Agreed! that's Like saying "We'll miss you Johnl, now pn a happier note.." that music was SOOOO *NOT* necessary
-
Im glad Ben Stein wanted to recognize Planes, Trains and Automobiles, its such a great movie, in my eyes John Hughes' best, it hardly ever gets talked about.
-
I love John Hughes' oeuvre, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was a "poet" of the human condition. He made teenage films, for Chrissake!
-
i will always love you john
-
why was Penn there?
Well said Ben, Hughes was a rare talent.
His films are wonderful.
