Wasn't it refreshing to watch the news..no computer graphics, no presenters walking aimlessly around a virtual studio, no banners scolling across the screen and clear posh accents!!!!!
-
"They do it in style"....
Didn't they?

@uhegbu The L'Oréal slogan hasn't changed. The pronunciation however has changed from almost correctly as the French, to a bastardised faulty "Lorry-elle".

Joan Thirkettle is one of those unforgettable names. Always thought it was 'Fernkettle'

Love the Lilt advert! The guy in the white shirt seems to be contemplating how far he could get with the girl in the bikini!

The slogan 'Because You're Worth it' currently being used in L'Oreal commercials is used in this one among a bunch of commercials from June 1981. I am also very familiar with one of Volkswagen's most famous commercials. I am wondering whether there was a spoof of this featuring I think Jasper Carrott.

Not sure about Jasper Carrott but Kenny Everett certainly parodied it.
