  • The Wendigo was nothing more than a "Legend" created by the Native people to not only prevent their children from wandering off alone into the wilderness, but was also a "Legend" created to cause fear in the "white man" and to prevent him from entering into Native Lands...and the truth shall set you free!

  • @danthompson1978 Yes I already know this thanks I just forgot to included it

  • From what I heard the Wendigo was an evil spirit that caused cannibalism and the natives of the area would hold trials for those accused or confessing to being a Wendigo.

Question; who was the one telling of the Wendigo living in the forest beside their new home?

Other wise I really enjoyed this information. Thank you for making it. ^_^

  • @DarkClosure I I don't know got it off a website and yes a wendigo is an evil caniblizing spirit of a person who transforms themselves into a wendigo through the use of "Black" Magick. the wendigo does not cause canablizim it causes possesion which leads to the canabilizm,

  • The book that I have titled "Hell House & Other True Hauntings from Around the World" by Alison Rattle and Allison Vale states that it is purly a spirit that possesses people in order to eat humans thus causing canabilizm. There is no mention of transformation but there are some odd accounts. And in the book they spell Wendigo "windigo", as well tell of the only way to dispatch of such a creature is to set the host on fire and have them burn until their bones are ash. Email you the rest?

  • @DarkClosure yeah their are lots of name about three paragraph full lol there are storys of it being a skinny human but mostly its described as a dog lol other ways to destroy is to shatter its body stab its heart use silve lmao and then burn and scatter its ashes ect. IN OTHER WORDS THE STORY VARIES LMAO good info though

  • @danthompson1978 it was also about greed and power and who's to say it's not real

mybe it is and mybe it's not

  • I think someone needs spell check and to review how long it takes for some to read a sentence.. I had to keep pausing or going back to.read the sentences.. and nice font and color on the backgrounds.

  • I think someone needs a review of "run on sentences."

  • @danthompson1978 ahh but the natives acutally bleived in the wendigo thats why they would go in hunting groups rather then alone at night because the wendgo would rather choose a lone person. the natives also blieved the wendgo came for the punishments for evil doings

  • hey guys you can tell you what kind of monster you don't know and i tell what is it

  • @pokemon8835 what's a wendigo?

  • i like the song for scary things with my friends

  • @pokemon8835 in folklore the Wendigo is a person who gives in to the urge to kill and eat another human. As soon as they take the first bite of flesh and it slides down their throats, they begin a horrible transformation into a hideous creature. Once a human now a flesh eating beast it prowls the woods in search of its next meal.
