How deep the Father's love for us by Stuart Townend

It's my first time dabbling in this so please be patient with me.. :] These are the verses (the words in white below the song lyrics) in the New International Version (NIV) that I used, in order of appearance:

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"-which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Mark 15:34

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

And they crucified Him. Dividing up His clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get.
Mark 15: 24

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

he was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Isaiah 53:3

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. John 10:11

When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit." John 19:30

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from that law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. Philippians 3:7-9

"They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised to life." And the disciples were filled with grief. Matthew 17:23

Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory. Romans 8:17

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up His cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will find it. What good will it be for a man if He gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26

None of us deserve forgiveness. But by the grace and love of God, we all can be forgiven. And we all need to be forgiven to be able to spend eternity in God's kingdom. Repent and seek forgiveness.

@tallliza Sometimes that is the beauty of the message - God did not send Jesus because He had to; He did it because He loved us. And Jesus did not stay on the cross because He had to, He could have gotten down at any time. He stayed on the cross for me - and for you! That is the truth of the salvation message! Have a blessed Easter.
