Wow, Mother 1 was good and all, but I personally wouldn't have put it at number 9/100. It had its flaws....

Although I suppose it's a bit out of context. Was this a top 100 NES games countdown? Because then I can agree with sticking this at 9/100.

No, the people who ripped EarthBound Zero off the cartridge added the "Zero" to it. It was originally just "EarthBound".

What most likely happened is that they were working on Mother under the name EarthBound. While they were working on it, Mother 2 was announced/came out. Since Mother 2 was on a more recent system and arguably the better game, they scrapped Mother and went to Mother 2, carrying over the EarthBound name.

Ok people, Earthbound would have came out in 1990, the same year or a year earlier than the SNES. Nintendo did not want to release EB on a dying console so it was scrapped. Thankfully, a guy found the prototype and put the rom online. :)

Mother 3 is amazing, god bless the geniuses on the M3 Translation team, I'm loving the english rom. They need a Mother 1translation though, maybe with updated(Mother 2 or 3) graphics.

Haven't played the 3rd, but i agree that M2 is #1, and M1 would be 2nd cuz has been the first RPG i ever played(I don't like that dragon+swords+knights shit)
