  • I also am looking at this guitar for a Jazz Box. Your playing certainly hasn't hurt the Ibanez sales any LOL - Great Job. Your guitar in the video looks like it has more peach color than amber. Is it your light or does the color shift around from one guitar to another that much?

    Ron

  • Thanks Ron, regarding the color it was more peach/orangey than amber, you are right. But definitively the light plays a big role on its color, on stage under strong lights it looked gorgeous and 3D(ish)

    :P

  • Very sweet. I really enjoyed your playing on "Take the 'A' Train." I have the same Hal Leonard book w/great tracks. Good tracks are hard to find (and expensive...!). Anyway, you absoulutely nailed the solo-work on that! Really, enjoyed it! I am referring to your playing, as I am learning that number myself. I guess, you're my "DVD" lesson. HEHE

  • Thanks a lot :)

  • oh god, its beautifull, i walked out of the shop today after lay buying a yamaha holow, while i was waliing home i was like i cant afford it but then i was like "Wate! I can afford it!" so tomorow im swaping my lay buy.

  • I was thinking about buying an AF125 custom... but then I discovered the Loar LH-650, which is a hand-carved all solid wood jazzbox. And, it's only a few bucks more than the AF125.

Of course, the AF125 is prettier to my eyes, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to own a solid wood jazz box for $1000.00.

  • not very much.. something between an acoustic and a solid electric..

  • How loud does this sound unplugged?

  • thank you!

  • Thanks! Regarding your question, I found that the pickups really avoid the feedback, as advertised by Ibanez. I have played this with a tube amp + Ibanez tube screamer, in a open stage and in a closed rehearsal room with other guit+bass+keyb+drums+vocals, and the overdriven sound is sweet and thick. Needs some handling on your side of course :)

    cheers!
