My beagle Tanner was a rescue beagle. Got him at 5 months old and had him until he was 4. He was playing with my sisters dog and jumped off the couch and ruptured a disc in his spine. Could hardly walk the next morning, vet game him steroid shots but wasn't optomistic. I slept next to him on the floor that night. Next morning he could not walk at all and had lost control of his bodily functions. I cried all the way to and from the vet and still cry today when I think of him. That was 4 years ago

My dog died at 16 years of age and my cat died at 14 years.

I could watch videos of human deaths all day, but when a dog dies it really upsets me, because I know that unlike that dying human did, all that dog ever did was love others selflessly.
