  • Fantastic performance!!!! Amateur pianist? Dr. Sigh is a world class pianist, suffering by the fact that he is practicing medicine for a living. He deserves recognition for his talent as a top notch Concert Pianist and musician, and forget the so called 'amateur' status. He makes the rest of us amateur pianists look bad, and feel sorry for ourselves.

  • Thanks for posting this. I see Franz Liszt as the greatest musician who ever walked the face of the earth, and this work as a high point in his output.

The interpretation is fresh, innovative, and original, and does more to emphasize the dies irae than any other live performance I know of.

How fitting that this piece about fascination with death is performed by a medical doctor. A surgeon maybe? Cheers from a canadian tort lawyer with ambitions for the 2010 concours!
