  • @electronicoffee Yeah, and there's a REASON THIS NATION WAS BUILT ON FREEDOM OF CHOICE.

Alcohol is bad for you, smoking is bad for you, eating lots of sugar is bad for you, Big Phama's drugs are bad for you. But, do you want to violently raid American families with trigger-happy SWAT TEAMS tooting fully automatic machine guns, just becuase they are consuming something you don't like?

Get real man! Their bodies are their property, not yours or the State's!

  • @Xinlee2000 The war on drugs has been an expensive catastrophic failure. All it does is finance our ever growing police state and fill our prisons. But it never makes drugs more difficult to obtain. What a waste of money and resources.

  • @Xinlee2000 He's not for the total legalization of all drugs. He just thinks that it should be regulated at the state level, not federally. He knows it isn't fair that people suffering from illnesses can be raided by the federal government for having marijuana when it's perfectly legal for them to have it on the state level. If drugs were regulated on a state level, I highly doubt they would legalize anything other than Marijuana anyway but they have the freedom to do so.

  • (continued comment) An inelastic product or service basically means that regardless the price the demand is still strong. So imagine that prices are no longer fluctuated by government and cartels, and it can be sold very cheap. The demand for drugs would grow expontentially. Now drugs also have what we call in economic terms negative externalities. Negative externalities mean that the product affects more than the person using it. For instance people commiting crimes under the influence.
