I worked with Scotty in the '70s. Gave him a job at Shakey's Pizza parlor in Daly City CA... 10 weeks later, he went off to be a star...
He was a wonderful kid......

Eddie Peabody died in Covington, Kentucky after he was stricken on stage at the "Lookout House." He died the next morning.

I understand that Scotty Plummer bought Eddy Peabody's plectum at an auction. It seems like it was for 6,000.00, when he was a kid. Eddy Peabody died on stage in Detroit, MI, if I am not mistaken, doing what he liked to do most. I knew of a banjoist by the nickname of 'Ears' who played and was off to Detroit for an audition with Peabody. I don't think he made the appointment. Ears played a pretty good banjo. He played a lot at the Sportsman in Mulliken, MI.
