  • Normal football play. Guys on the ground get stepped on all the time. The Navy guy didn't take offense, he got up and patted Neal on the back.

  • It's a football game. Man up.

  • How did I get directed here from a video on Ndamukong Suh? This was nothing like Suh's actions.

  • Its called football you idiot. Like when u play u never play dirty at all? And the coaches say how to block on each play

  • Good. Year after year Navy cheap shots and tries to end the careers of REAL football players. There's a video of a Navy scumbag taking out the knees of ND's Robert Blanton, way away from the play, after the play, while Blanton isn't even looking. Navy runs the scummiest, cut-blockingest program in D1, so - you have no room to complain when real football players whose knees you've been diving for all game long return the favor. Scumbags.

  • @dippeldude as a soccer player I know only a little about football, but i know alot about knees having injured them on many occasion, and the way they were going after ND's guys, deliberately, was pretty dirty. I heard alot of Navy guys saying they were cut blocks, rather than chops, but alot of them were incorrect.

Corwin Brown made not of it, even OSU practiced specifically for Navy's 'tactics'

  • @irishfan84 Watch any Navy game and tell me that they are going for the kneecaps. If you read my comment and know anything about football, then you know that cut-blocking aims low, for the legs, and that as a result it may appear that players are aiming for the kneecaps. If they actually were going for kneecaps, you would see a lot more injuries. As for your specific play, I can't say for sure what happened...it may have even been a dirty play. Not at all indicative of the way Navy plays

  • Naw, it was cheap. It wasn't life threatening, but still cheap. He had a little extra lift on that leg.

  • Howell patted the sorry thug on the back to tell him to look at the scoreboard.

Irishfan: "headed straight for his knees"? Are you serious?

It's called a cut block, and it's totally legal, executed by the least penalized team in college football. (Navy was called for a grand total of zero penalties during this game.)

ND cut blocks ALL THE TIME. They just cry about it when they lose.

  • nick henderson or anderson, idk, vs ND in '09... completely opposite side of the field from the ball, play was over, Rob Blanton was trotting towards his team, Henderson takes him off his feet with a helmet to Blanton's knees...classy

  • @dippeldude Navy's guys were going for knee caps throughout the game. how about '09 Nick Henderson COMPLETELY OPPOSITE side of the field from the play, dives head first after the play was over right into Rob Blantons knees

  • cheap shot??? you serious. he did it because look where the Navy guy was headed, straight for his knees. they did it all day- i was at the game, they ended Calabrese and Ian Williams seasons on the same play with these cheap shots to the knees
