  • take out the 80's bring baq the 50's, 60's and 70s

  • Just another example of mgt. incompetence. Somebody finally woke up!

  • I hope WCBS FM never ever goes back to that JACK FM format. That was the worst radio programming I ever heard and to say the least,it sounded cold and very un-human.

  • Since they have been suck after they left. I listen to WFUV now. You get music of all kinds.

  • With regards to 80's music being played on CBS-FM, back in the 80's they played the then-current hit music sporadically, especially on Mark Sommers' shift. Remember when Cousin Brucie had the Wednesday "Yesterday/Today" countdown? And the jingle "101 Yesterday...drumroll...101 Today"? Back in the mid-late 80's, when most of Top 40 radio was still flexible enough to be heard anywhere, CBS-FM played it. That's something a lot of people seem to forget.

  • Blowing up CBS-FM, though never intended as a radio stunt, was the best thing to happen to the station. Ratings were only modest by the end of the first era, as people took the station for granted. But when it was gone, there was a massive awakening among New Yorkers who promised to pay much more attention to the station if it was brought back. Promise kept: It's now among the four highest-rated stations in the market.

  • Imagine considering 80's tunes oldies? Please get real with oldies or just refer to yourself an AOR (all over the road) format!

  • all the people in this video are RETARDED

  • Back to WCBS turning to JACK: does anybody know what made Bill Brown understand that the station was just about to switch ?
