The first image is not LA or the Metrolink, it's San Diego's Santa Fe Depot and the Pacific Surfliner bound for LA's Union Station through Orange County...Both the Santa Fe Depot and Union Station are gorgeous architectural masterpieces. I love taking the train, you can sit back relax and not worry about traffic and it's environmental, but a) it takes so much longer than driving and b) there are too few scheduled trips unlike in Europe. These are its main drawbacks I think...
