The alien looks pretty cool. You should focus on that thing.

Did a lot of work on the alien. I paid someone to make it. The mask was very static and not latex or stretchy. To bring some life to it, I ran it through photoshop and added slime (Plasticwrap filter), blinking eyes and warped his cheeks. This had to be done one frame at a time, so a 4 second shot (120 frames) would take me two or three days to do.
My main focus was the story. I wanted something with a quick pace, interesting characters and a couple of twists.

I'm sure you know this but after effects would have made your matte work much easier. :)
If you didn't want to buy it you could have downloaded the trial.

I have After Effects and I used it extensively on this movie - for example, the liquify filters and for matting explosions, gunshots, blood, etc.. AFX does not have the Plastic Wrap slime effect, like Photoshop. There are quite a few things you can do in Photoshop that you can't in AFX.

My wife and I produced it. I'm a banquet server and this is what I make during my vacation time. Considering that our budget is cheaper than BLAIR WITCH, I'm pretty happy with all the action that is in it.
