Gillard jostled on Australia Day

http://www.euronews.net/ There was a nasty surprise for Australia's prime minister and leader of the opposition who chose to celebrate Australia's national public holiday at an awards ceremony in a Canberra restaurant.




But a crowd of protesters got wind of the event and some 200 supporters of indigenous rights came from the nearby Aboriginal Tent Assembly, a gathering to protest against the official Australia Day they dub "Invasion Day". The Assembly is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

If I was carrying a spear in public i would expect to be arrested. If I pushed an officer that's assaulting an officer. If i then were to point the spear at the officer..... well that's gone way over the top.

A peaceful protest would me much more dignified and get more respect.

This country is beyond hope, it's politicians are pathalogical liars gutless, the legal and police forces are corrupt, and the hospitals actually make you sick. Police commit human rights violations every day and are a law unto themselves. As a citizen of 39 years, I find Australia an incredibly scary place where there is no rule of law, just every man for himself. If I could afford to live in another country I would leave tommorow, Australia is a horrible place to live.
