Crikey. She was only 19. Unbelievable. What a find - saw her live this evening and this is amazing to see now 45 years later!

- hey, thats a gem! - first saw Elkie in Vinegar Joe in a local club in 1972 - still have her autograph from the gig. great band, great singer.
It probably did her career good to leave VJ but they were a unique band while it lasted.

Wow !!!! What a rare piece of film. It is an incredible treat to see Elkie perform so early in her career.
Prior to YouTube, the earliest footage I had seen of her was from the "Pearl's a Singer" era.
I'm so used to seeing her with her long, lustrous 70's hairstyles, I don't think I would have recognized her with her 60's 'bob' ! She was cute then, and she's darn hot now.

Take my word for it, Elkie is at her very, very best performing live, in front of an audience. I have been to eighteen shows and I never tire of watching and listening to her.
