Puraka, Kumbaka, Rechaka - Inhale, Hold, Exhale [Repeat]
A simple formula for achieving enlightenment.
Remember that on the exhale [kumbaka], the ideal is to PUSH the last bits of air from your lungs, almost like you're 'wringing them out.' Remember too, that it's best to inhale [puraka] through the nose.
It is a natural instinct to hold the breath slightly at the maximum inhalation, to extract as much oxygen as possible from the air being held. You can do this systematically, by counting the cycle-phases with a number or mantra.
Ride the sounds and images, and listen for my breathing as a reminder to maximize your own.
The audio is an un-filtered digital capture of a live performance with Tibetan cymbals. The visual was created by me on my computer machine.
Of course the arches of the Alhambra were created by someone else, but at least I took the photos of them... I confess, I nicked the photo of Pacal's sarcophagus cover, and the William Morris wallpaper, but the webbed laceworks are of my own design. Some of the "crinkling" effects were achieved with a photo I took of a severely deteriorated celluloid photonegative. I'm going to do more with those negatives.....
The hands and the head of the Buddha are from photos I took at the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya which Liberates Upon Seeing.
The rest of those photos are here:
