CHS State Finals 2011

The Centennial High School finals performance at the Texas UIL State Marching Band Contest. Centennial placed third out of all 4A bands in the state of Texas with this performance. Makes me a proud alumni!

Although a good show, they shouldnt have made top 3. There were way better bands in finals thats deserved top 3. CP was the only band that deserved what they got. All honesty Wakeland Highschool should have been in either 2nd or 3rd. CHS shouldve gotten 4th or 5th. Not a top 3 worthy show. But congrats anyways.

@MsShlak I will agree to disagree with you. im going to guess you are somehow related to WHS??? explain second at toc and first at area. go tell a student at chs they didnt deserve third place and see what they tell you, they worked their butts off just like wakeland did this year and two years ago to make state. the judges felt chs performed the show at that time better than the others. and there was nothing to compare because none of the finals judges saw any of the shows b4 finals that night

Dude...I still can't believe it's over :( I'm going to miss this show SO MUCH </3 This season was absolutely incredible(: I'll remember those last two performances for the rest of my life <3 Haha, hell, I'll be freaking 80 and singing the show to my grandkids :D I love you all(: And for us Freshmen, it's only year one(; :DDD <3

This was my favorite show this year. I go to Lake Dallas High and we got the privilege of performing after this show at region. :) That is a sarcastic smile. But we got our one for the first time in three years. May not be much of a success to everyone else in our region, but it was a "Cinderella" story for us seniors just as state was to you all I'm sure. Congratulations. You defiantly deserved top three.

@pickles1447 yes they did have some of that and ur guard wasn't close enough together if you would have not had those problems you might have won the whole thing but still loved the show

@MsShlack hey igot nothing on whs but chs did have a better performance I'm from hays high school in Kyle and we got idk6th in area we barely missed state and do you see me complaining. no. we are in the same area as dripping springs and cedar park look at what we have to deal with just be happy for what you got and try harder next time

@gojohnson48 None of you should be complaining at all. Wakeland is great and so is Centennial. I am from Newman Smith. We didn't even make it to Finals this year. It was so competitive and you guys had awesome shows. I respect you and and you should respect each other. Centennial you are one great group. Wakeland you are too. Good luck to you guys next year.

@MsShlak Look, there was a big tear in Wakelands final's performance. Centennial got first at area AND they stepped up their game for Finals considerably from prelims. Centennial deserved what that got, and so did wakeland.

I swear, if wakeland makes it to state and does anything spectacular, the rest of frisco has to bend over and congratulate them as they glorify themselves in victory, but the second that any other school does better, they obviously don't deserve it. Thats crap. Congrat CHS!
