Uromastyx acanthinurus. These are from Morocco, which means that they are cold hardy. They stay outside year round in these cages. Keep 1 to 2 per cage. Cover cages with transparent UV resistant plastic sheeting in the winter time. Note again that these cages are half burried into the ground, like most other cages on the farm here.

  • Yes, it snows about 1 day a year. It does get bitterly cold though each year. Into the 20's F at night sometimes. But during the daytime it just about always is above freezing. We cover the cages with transparent plastic sheeting in winter time, to keep rain out and heat in.
