"England Swings" was a big hit for Roger not only on the country charts but also the pop charts during 1965 peaking at #8 in November of that year.

  • Roger Miller was a new, breath of fresh air to the music scene. I remember when I first saw him on the Tele on the Ed Sullivan Show, he was great and his other hit song King of the Road was fantastic. I played it on my accordion, loved it! Thank you Roger, thank you Ed.

  • I have my parents to thank for having a record of his music in the house when I was growing up. I am currently NOT a country fan per se, but will admit the stuff I have heard is miles better than Rap, Hip-Hop or Rhythm & Blues. The country form the 60s, though.. that was some good music.
