I have become a big Kathleen Kim. She will be appearing on the HD broadcast
live to theaters from the Met Opera House in NYC in the opera "Nixon in China"
on Feb 12th, 2011.

I saw this on HD last Christmas Season. The audience here in Finland applauded. It was so good no one knew what else to do.

a mark of total vocal control

I saw her performance on PBS and was blown away by it. Incredible coloratura. "Out of the ballpark" is right.

What a fine singer, and she makes it all look easy, even in close-up during the HD transmission (which will repeat Jan 6, a must-see, and I may go again). Those are huge vocal leaps, and she lands them almost flawlessly; I don't think I've heard another recording that I like better. Reportedly her first performances of this role, and she's hit it out of the ballpark.
