Mine is nearly finished but I am having the same difficulty with the flaps being stiff. one wing is not bad but the other is quite stiff. I will try your dry silicone tip. I have read where other RV-9 owners opted not to use the flaps. Do you feel that they are a great benefit? I am also finding that my wing bolts are not going to be long enough but that should be easy to remedy. I am hoping to finish it up today as the weather willl be perfect for flying. Thanks again for the advice.

They recommend the AR600 reviver, will a AR610 work also?
I am going to set it up with the 450 as that is what I have already.

Beautiful plane. Nice flying. I just picked one up at HZ in Mpls and will be putting her together tomorrow. Any tips you can give me on the build, anything to look out for? Also, how's yours holding up? Landing gear solid or should I be considering a modification to strengthen the mount? Are you still running the 480? Does it provide enough power or could I go a for little more wattage? Thanks for any tips you can give me. Happy flying.

@darlingsareyouready it flies very well on the 480, . Landing gear under normal use great. but it will not take any moderate hard hit at all. Flaps were headache for so many RV nine pilots. They're so stiff. My Servo is mounted closer to the center not the way they said. Using maximum throw for all its torque. I used dry silicon and everything to try to loosen them. I succeeded. My RV nine is 2 1/2 years old as of today and in mint absolute mint condition.it's so smooth to fly this airplane.
