This is old army generator made by Johnson in the 1940's. It has two outputs: 110AC@460W and 6VDC@200W. This unit was not used that much and I only had to un-stick the exhaust valve to get it to run. The engine is a 500 series with 1HP.

  • I found one like this , 300watt 12volt dc at my father in laws farm in manitoba, I unstuck a valve, and it fired right up. cool piece of history

  • its funny how we still use sparkplugs after so many years ....

  • It is in great shape!

  • @jds44

We had one on a washing machine, the other on a 12V- DC charger. What amazed me is that the engine could run for hours on a quart of gasoline. They were fantastic engines.

  • My Dad owns one of these engines, his engine is unrestored though, and is also a nonrunner at the moment.

These engines, such good little engines.
