Jackie Mason '08 Vlog 41 Gay Marriage In California

The right decision but the wrong ruling. I may surprise many of my viewers by saying that I'm not against gay marriage. I don't think it's any of my business who someone wants to marry. As long as it doesn't effect me, who cares? However, I'm against the California Supreme Court ruling on the matter in the first place. Their job is not to overrule the will of the people and legislate from the bench. That does effect my life.

I believe Mason's reasoning is flawed. Hitler was also elected by democratic voting. Mason, and perhaps the entire Libertarian movement, is flawed as it recognizes various cultures and religions and yet not one the World's major religions are for homosexuality or gay marriage. Mason, as a Jew should know this of all people. Michael Savage is spot on re: gay marriage.

I sometimes feel like the only conservative in the world that doesn't really mind gay marriage.

There was a time when I was vehemently opposed to it under the false premise that it somehow "ruined the sanctity of marriage".

What BS. I don't agree with what gays do, but that doesn't mean they don't have the right to do it. Allowing gays the rights to marry does not in any way invalidate our Constitution.

Gays have the right to be just as miserable as the rest of us.

Mason, that scoundrol, pretends to be a compassionate guy when he states his approval of gay rights subject to the OK of the court system. When our courts determine a law is unconstitutional they have an obligation to strike it down.

I don't know why people can't let others be. There's only a few subjects that really bother me, and those are if you steal from someone (rare exceptions being if you take only what you absolutely need to live, from someone who doesn't need it: in which case - you needed it), murder someone, rape someone. What kind of a shmuck are you? The courts are precisely designed to be a check on governments and to sometimes protect minorities from the tyranny of the majority. As a member of a minority yourself, you're an idiot for attacking Judge Walker's correct and fair ruling to protect disadvantaged minority group of people. Also, the latest poll shows that 52% of people across the country now support gay marriage. 72% thought interracial marriage was wrong when the Supreme Court did away with it.
