On Monday, Aug. 17th, 2009; the publication of a biography of Mohammed Ali Jinnah challenged the way Indians have, for decades, viewed the founder of Pakistan. It reassess Nehru's role in Partition while shedding fresh light on the relationship between Gandhi and Jinnah.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh's book has since attracted considerable attention and controversy - leading to Jaswant Singh's dismissal from the party. The book has also been banned in different parts of India.

In this exclusive interview, Karan Thapar, in a special two-part interview with the author, discusses the book with Singh, a former defence, foreign and finance minister of India and also a former soldier... The book is titled, 'Jinnah: India, Independence, Partition'.
