I have only seen them in the north, though. The hardy little beasts seem to shy away from warmer and wetter climates...

It took us a couple of hours at slow pace, to walk around it! But half the island is closed off, as a nature reserve.. or something.. :) Don't know the exact size, but it's not overly big.. :)
